"KRAFTWERK AND THE ELECTRONIC REVOLUTION"

Year: 2008
Running time: 180 min.
Language: English / German with english subtitles.

Synopsis: While electronic pop music is pretty much the standard nowadays, back in the ‘70s, it was entirely uncharted territory. That was, until Kraftwerk came along. Led by Florian Schneider (vocals, flutes, synthesizers, electro-violin) and Ralf Hütter (vocals, electronic organ, synthesizers), this German duo started off as an experimental act, before streamlining their sound and influencing popular music from the late ‘70s through to the present (and penning such electro-classics as "Autobahn," "The Model," and "Pocket Calculator," along the way). This non-authorized by Kraftwerk documentary tells their tale, as well as other similarly styled German acts that came up around the same era.
